The science behind the awkward
Awkward Brewing® Co. was born from a simple idea: great beer doesn't have to take itself too seriously. We brew with the precision of scientists and the spirit of people who just genuinely love a good time.
Awkward Brewing® originally started in Lake Stevens, Washington in 2015. Amanda began brewing at home in 2008, perfecting her technique before self-distributing to bars and restaurants. We opened our doors in Fayetteville, GA in November 2021, and on March 18th 2022 — Awkward Moments Day — we began regular hours. We consider that our anniversary.
Our beers rank towards the top on Untappd with a 4.18 out of 5 rating. Our taproom capacity is 37 — intimate by design — with a backyard featuring picnic tables, lawn games, and plenty of room for the whole Awkward Family. Pet friendly, child friendly, neighbor friendly.
Our four mascots — Bret the graduated cylinder, Fuggle the hop, Moist the water drop, and Glute the grain — represent the four essential ingredients of every pint we pour. They're weird. We're weird. You're probably a little weird too. You'll fit right in.
Come hang out. Pull up a stool. Try something new. It might be a little awkward at first — that's kind of the point.
